Bloglift - Shake That Booty Baby...

So here is a very simple card for the latest bloglift - which is based on the lovely card by Kelly Lunceford at Atomic Butterfly. I think this card literally took me 15 minutes to put together which is good because I might mass produce these to send family and friends an update letter on our little girl. I love this clear stamp set - Little Cupcake - by Inkadinkado. They have a little boy one as well. I picked up this gorgeous satin ribbon with the picot edging at my LSS at 50% off - so I couldn't resist - could I?

Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzill), Patterned Paper (American Crafts), Ribbon (American Crafts), Stamp (Inkadinkado), Nestabilties, Copics, Ink (Palette).

Bloglift Tuesdays and Gift Container #1

This week's bloglift was inspired by this beautiful card on Simple Dreams. I used to do a lot of Pergamano but I gave up my supplies ages ago - however I still have a ton of parchment paper which I hadn't touched in ages. My card is a lot more subtle because I'm using very light pink Copics over a brown background but I like the way it turned out. Pink and brown is one of my very favourite colour combinations.

I'm getting a lot of use out of the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder - I wish they would make more with these types of subtle repeating patterns.

Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzill), Patterned Paper (American Crafts), Tools (Cuttlebug embossing folders, Nestabilities), Embellishments (brads - unknown, ribbon tag - Making Memories), ribbon, Copic markers, Ink (Palette, Versa), embossing powder.

For my first in this month's series of boxes, bags and gifts I made a little matchbook cover for a set of stamped images. My secret sister has requested stamped images of the Stamping Bella line. Since I happen to own a bunch of these I thought I'd make a little matchbooklet out of them so she could use them to make her own cards. Each image is stamped in StazOn so it can be coloured with water-based inks or watercolour pencil crayons.

Its not possible to see in the pictures but the top of each card is perferated so she can simple "tear" out the sheet she wants to use, trim it, colour it and use it on her own project. I think you could use a similar idea for making custom coupons as a gift.

I used extra long brads to get through the stamped cards and the front of the matchbook but you could also use the long clips you get at an office supply store if you wanted.

In retrospect I would have flipped the images around and had the perforated piece at the bottom of the image so you could see them better when you open the booklet. Next time...

Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzill), Patterned Paper (Making Memories), Stamps (Stamping Bella, PaperTrey Ink), Brads, Ribbon, Nestabilities, Paper Flowers (Prima), Ink (SU!, StazOn, Palette).

Tuesday Bloglift - Easter Boxes

Today's bloglift came from Stamp a Little Love Baby but the original box and template are from QBee on Splitcoast. I love these little things! Unfortunately I don't have eggs to fill them tonight but I will pop to Walmart and pick some up tomorrow.

I put the lid box through my new dots Cuttlebug folder to give it some texture - I like the way it turned out. This box is really simple but the possibilities for decorating it are endless. I've kept my colours pretty tradionally "Eastery" but I think this would be a great Halloween box with little round candies and Halloween colours!

Supplies: Paper (Bazzill, SU!), Embossing (Cuttlebug), Diecut (Nestabilities), Embellishments (Prima, Bella Baubles), Stamps (Amuse Artstamps, SU!)

Here are a few swap cards I've made recently.

Supplies: Cardstock (SU!), Ink (SU!), Embellishments (SU, Stamping Bella), Stamps (SU, Wordsworth), Embossing (Cuttlebug), ribbon (SU!)

Supplies: Cardstock (SU!), Patterned Paper (SU!) Ink (SU!), Stamps (SU!), Embellishments (Prima, Stamping Bella), accessories (circle punch), Embossing Powder (Stampendous)

Supplies: Cardstock (SU!), Diecut letters (Quickutz), Embellishment (Making Memories), Ribbon (Maya Road), Stamps (SU!), circle punch

Bloglift Tuesdays...

So in an effort to give some "regularity" to this blog I'm going to try and implement some weekly regulars. Monday will be This Week's Favourite Cards/Projects from the blogosphere, Tuesday will be Bloglift day and Wednesday you will get a recipe because that's the day I bake for my husband's workmates. I haven't figured out the rest of the week yet but I'll keep you posted as I work it out.

This will serve a few purposes:
  1. It keeps me blogging and keeps the content here fresh.
  2. It forces me to create - which for me is a good thing because I'm the world's greatest procrastinator.
  3. It gets me out there seeing the wonderful stuff that other bloggers are creating.

So the idea behind Bloglift Tuesdays is that I will choose a project I admire from one of the many, many talented crafters out there and do my own "interpretation" of it. This week's project is from Carolyn King at Cammie's Blog. She's a very talented lady and I'm consistently impressed by her creations. Check out her card which I bloglifted.

I really loved this layout so I pretty much kept it as Carolyn created it. I think this will make a cute birthday card for someone. The cupcake stamps are from a new Magenta set that I just picked up - who knew Magenta was making clear stamps! I've got a bit of a dots and circles thing going on here.

Supplies: Cardstock (Stampin' Up!), Stamps (Magenta, Hero Arts), Patterned Paper (Creative Imaginations), Glitter (Glitter Ritz), Inks (Brilliance, Palette), Copic Markers, Ribbon, Nestabilities Dies (Spellbinder), Punches (corner rounder, slot punch), chalk, Bella Baubles (Stamping Bella)
